Yves Le Men

Yves Le Men lives in Paris and is an industrial engineer. He is already the author of three books:
- the first popular science book on animal eyes,
- the second on the importance of perception in design,

- the third on a geometric description of cylindrical and conical perspectives.

He won the AlterPublishing Prize 2016 for Vision in the Animal World .

Yves Le Men - Perspective

  • Through more than 300 images and diagrams, this book presents the main properties of linear perspective. The approach is elementary, and the calculations are accessible to any high school student with a science background.

In particular, neither projective geometry nor matrices are used, even though these more modern methods are the basis of computer drawing programs.

However elementary it may be, this presentation of a discipline that has fascinated the scientific world since the Renaissance is intended for the reader wishing to better understand a phenomenon at the basis of our vision of the world.
