We value emerging authors
Traditional publishers only select one author in a thousand? Do they take refuge behind their logic of collections? AlterPublishing prefers to promote emerging talent. You are free to send us your book if it corresponds to the standards in force and if you have not signed a contract for this book elsewhere. AlterPublishing gives you a chance, whatever the theme and personality of your work!
We provide comprehensive support
Before publication, AlterPublishing ensures the reading of the manuscript; proofreading, proofreading and formatting on already formatted text; verification of the eligibility of the title; formatting for paper and e-book formats; obtaining and managing the ISBN; a cover proposal with royalty-free photos from an image bank; the shaping of the 1st cover, the edge and the 4th cover.
After publication AlterPublishing takes care of the management of service providers (Amazon, FNAC, Rakuten, Ibook, Nook ...); dissemination to these providers; copyright management.
How do you follow them?
How do you perceive them? How are the AlterPublishing Awards awarded? What are the key points of the contract? What should you check before sending us your work?

Earnings from your first copy sold
With a classic contract, do you only earn from the thousandth book sold? Your earnings are not proportional but fixed? With AlterPublishing, you earn copyright from the first copy you sell. Your earnings will not be capped or declining: you will receive the same amount for the first or your millionth book!
Earn as much as your editor
With a traditional editor, you get, at best, between 3% and 8% of the sale price. AlterPublishing has intentionally based its compensation system on fairness: you earn as much as your publisher. You receive copyright of 2 euros net for an ebook (30% of the average selling price) and 3 euros net for a paper book (20% of the average selling price).
Full transparency and day-to-day monitoring
Are you relying on the good faith of your traditional publisher to know the number of copies sold? Your account on the AlterPublishing site allows you to follow the evolution of the number of copies sold by title and by type of medium (ebook or paper), without any surprises and whenever you want. You have a live estimate of your earnings.
You touch your rights to author faster
With a traditional publisher, your rights will not be paid to you until six months after the end of the fiscal year in the year in which your book is published. If it was released in January for example, you will have to wait until June of the following year, at the earliest, to receive your check! With AlterPublishing, your rights are paid at the latest at the end of the quarter after our account closure (June 30) if your earnings are less than 300 euros. But if your winnings are higher, you can request immediate settlement!

The key points of the contract
Author protection
Information about our authors is confidential and is neither distributed nor used by AlterPublishing. In addition, it is possible to maintain anonymity by using a pseudonym or a pen name.
Signing the contract
The contract is established between the author (or several authors in the case of a collective work) and AlterPublishing LLC. The contract is signed by AlterPublishing then sent to the author for validation and signature.
The book
The work covered by the contract is identified by the information provided by the author (work, images, photos, etc.). A contract can relate to one or more works. The author may also subsequently propose other works which are the subject of amendments to the main contract.
The commitments of AlterPublishing
AlterPublishing LLC undertakes by contract to display the work on its site and to distribute it to its partners, at its expense. AlterPublishing LLC keeps the author tracking sales on a monthly basis.
Before sending us your book
Did you follow the ground rules?
Your work is finished? But, have you thought about using Word's spell checker, essential for a first correction? Then, to have the text as readable as possible, use one of the two correctors available on the Antidote market (average price 94 €) or ProLexis (average price 60 €) or use the services of a professional proofreader. Remember that in classic publishing houses, five to eight proofreaders work on each book! Grammar, spelling will give you credibility and professionalism. These are extra sales! For the reader, form and content are often associated, they are the guarantee of a quality work! For the layout, manage only the breakdown, the chapters, the summary. We take care of the layout!
Have you thought about selling your book?
Your book has a large number of pages? Have you been prolific? Why not write several volumes, which will allow the reader to order the second volume as soon as the first is finished, and why not… the whole series? This will also allow you to boost your sales and better retain your reader! The title, the back cover, the chapter you choose are essential: how does a reader usually choose a book in bookstores? If you are not yet Victor Hugo or Hergé, he will first be challenged by the cover: the title and the photo; it will go through the back cover. And, if he likes it, he will leaf through ... and possibly read a few pages! So pay particular attention to the choice of title, the design of your cover and the summary you will make of your book, the back cover and your mini CV. Finally, your photograph will be the last trigger to allow the reader to proceed to the act of purchase!
